Olaplex No. 6 Has arrived!

Olaplex No.6

If you’ve ever used Olaplex before, you’ll know how amazing it makes your hair look and feel. Whether you’ve used the 3-step treatment or you’ve ventured into using Olaplex No.4 and No.5, you’re in for another treat, because Olaplex No.6 has arrived!

What is Olaplex No.6?

It’s a leave-in styling creme that gets rid of frizz, hydrates the hair, and speeds up blow-drying time. According to Olaplex, it will get rid of frizz and flyaway hairs for up to 72 hours…hallelujah! It’s formulated with Olaplex’s patented bond building technology and it’s suitable for all hair types, from poker straight to curly locks. It won’t strip your colour, it’s non-toxic, and free from parabens and sulphates. It’s also cruelty-free and suitable for vegans. Oh, and it’s super gentle on your hair.

What does Olaplex no.6 do?

If you want to restore damaged hair back to health, add moisture, reduce breakage, and get rid of frizz, it’s the product for you.

It works because Olaplex’s patented active ingredient, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate (quite a mouthful!) repairs broken disulphide bonds, making the hair strong and healthy again. Disulphide bonds get broken when you over-process your hair, use too much heat on it, or from over-zealous brushing or combing.

So it’s good for your hair, what’s in it?

Fermented Green Tea Oil: The oil nourishes the hair and absorbs really well. The oil is one of the ingredients that improves how your hair feels almost instantly.

Coconut oil, vitamin E, fermented argan oil, and sealift: These soothe damaged hair and also provide anti-ageing benefits to keep the follicles in good health.

Grapeseed oil: Is an ultra-nourishing ingredient which contains active compounds such as beta-carotene, vitamins D, C, and E, essential fatty acids, and polyphenols (anti-oxidants) to protect and nourish the hair.

Phytantriol and Panthenol: you might think you’ve just stepped into a science lesson, but both of these ingredients are known for their conditioning and hydrating properties, and they work very well together. Panthenol is also known as vitamin B5.

How do you use Olaplex No.6?

It’s a leave-in product, but it won’t feel sticky or weigh your hair down. Start with a 10p sized amount of product and apply it to damp or dry hair, focusing on the mid-lengths to the ends. Comb the product through your hair for maximum coverage and style as normal.
