Everyone has busy lives these days, and if you’re anything like me, you probably have a routine for everything; hair, beauty, hair removal, the list goes on. You might think routines are boring and time-consuming, but they don’t have to be!

Treating your hair with Olaplex No.3 might be an essential part of your hair health restoring routine, and it doesn’t have boring; you just need to make it fit your lifestyle. Whether you’re rushing from the school run to a gym class or you’re having a well-earned day of rest, the key is making it work for you.

Olaplex No. 3 is for you, whatever your hair type

Whether your hair is all natural, processed, straight, or curly, you can use it. Olaplex No.3 even works on hair extensions (made from human hair.)

While it’s true that Olaplex No. 1 and Olaplex No. 2 are salon-only products, you don’t need to use them prior to using No.3 on your hair. Olaplex No. 3 will give you amazing results on its own. I do still think that the results are even better again when the products are used as a three-step system though.

Achieving healthy hair: Your work is never done

No matter what your hair type, it takes work to keep it healthy. As well as your regular salon visits to keep your hair in great shape, you should be treating it well at home too. This is where Olaplex No. 3 comes in.

How to use Olaplex No.3

Here is a basic guide to using Olaplex No. 3. Once you’re familiar with the basics, you can adapt the routine to what suits you and your lifestyle.

The most important thing to do is give your hair a light shampoo first to remove any build-up of oils or products. Then towel dry it and apply Olaplex No. 3. Comb the product through the hair to distribute it evenly. You can use it on dry hair if you don’t have time to shampoo it first, but you’ll need a bit more product to saturate the hair.

Leave it on for at least 10 minutes; the longer it’s on, the more effective it is, especially if your hair is over processed and especially damaged.

Rinse the product out, then shampoo and condition your hair as usual. Remember that Olaplex No. 3 is not a conditioning treatment; you must rinse it out of your hair and then wash and condition it. All that’s left is to style your hair as normal.

Olaplex No.3 should ideally be used once per week if your hair is already quite healthy, but if your hair needs an extra bit of tlc, it can be used 2-3 times per week alongside other nourishing treatments.
